Max Morokko

Max Morokko has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Max currently works at GoCardless as the Director of Engineering since November 2021. Prior to this role, they held the position of Senior Engineering Manager at GoCardless from November 2020 to November 2021, and before that, they were an Engineering Manager at the same company from May 2019 to November 2020.

Before joining GoCardless, Max Morokko worked at capital.com from July 2017 to April 2019 as a Growth Lead. In this role, they led marketing technology across two financial products and was responsible for improving marketing ROI, managing teams, providing tech leadership, and implementing data-driven decision making and growth hacking techniques. Max also designed and built a marketing automation system and developed various backend systems.

Max'sprevious experience includes working at Facebook as a Solutions Engineer from June 2016 to June 2017, at SolidOpinion as a Team Lead from August 2014 to May 2016, and at Smart Development Group in different roles from April 2008 to June 2014, including CEO, CTO, Senior Software Engineer, and Software Engineer. Additionally, Max Morokko worked at Software Solutions & Technologies AG as a Team Lead from March 2011 to May 2014, and at UBIS as a C/C++ developer from May 2007 to April 2008.

Max Morokko received their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the National Technical University of Ukraine 'Kyiv Polytechnic Institute' in the years 2004 to 2008. Max then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from the same institution, completing it from 2008 to 2010.

In addition to their formal education, Max has obtained several certifications. Max completed the "Advanced Growth Strategy" course from Reforge in November 2020. In March 2016, they completed the "Graph Analytics for Big Data" course from Coursera. In the same year, they also completed the "Introduction to Big Data Analytics," "Machine Learning With Big Data," and "Hadoop Platform and Application Framework" courses from Coursera.

Furthermore, Max completed the "Introduction to Big Data" course from Coursera in November 2015. In August 2015, they obtained a certification for completing the "Introduction to Recommender Systems" course through Coursera Verified Certificates. Additionally, they completed the "Machine Learning" course from Coursera in May 2014 and the "Introduction to Finance" course through Coursera Verified Certificates in September 2013.

Max has also completed the "Social and Economic Networks: Models and Analysis" course from Coursera in May 2013.
