Paul Foster

Paul Foster has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Paul worked at GoCardless from 2017 onwards, starting as the Head of Global Payment Partnerships and later becoming the Director of Global Payment Partnerships. In this role, they led a team responsible for expanding and maintaining the infrastructure supporting the global account to account network. Paul collaborated with financial partners and payment networks across the UK, Europe, North America, and APAC. Additionally, they were a member of the JROC VRP working group.

Prior to GoCardless, Paul worked at RBS from 2006 to 2017. During this time, they held various roles including Relationship Director in the Specialist Financial Services Team and Senior Relationship Manager in the Financial Institutions team. Their responsibilities included KYC/AML onboarding and reviews, credit management, cash management, FX, and complex product solutions. Paul provided assistance to clients from start-ups to those with turnover exceeding £100m in areas such as debt finance, acquisition finance, and treasury management.

Paul also had a role at Renault from 2004 to 2005, where they served as a Fleet Management Analyst. Their responsibilities included profitability analysis of fleet vehicle deals in the UK and collaborating with regional sales managers to present strong business proposals for clients and Renault.

Paul Foster attended Aston University from 2002 to 2006, where they earned a BSc degree in Accounting for Management. Prior to that, they studied at Southend High School for Boys from 1995 to 2002. Additionally, Paul obtained a Chartered Banker - MCIBS from The Chartered Banker Institute, specializing in Banking.
