Sara Cygańska

Sara Cygańska has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Sara is currently working as a Software Engineer at GoCardless since February 2021. Prior to that, they worked at IHS Markit from July 2017 to February 2021. During their time at IHS Markit, they held multiple roles, including Software Engineer and Associate Software Engineer. In these roles, they were involved in developing a greenfield distributed system for chemical market forecasting using technologies such as .NET, C#, TypeScript, Angular, and MongoDB.

Before joining IHS Markit, Sara worked at Kainos as a Trainee Software Developer from July 2016 to June 2017. During this time, they were part of the 'Evolve' project, which focused on developing an electronic medical records product with high security requirements. Their responsibilities included setting up availability monitoring, automating build processes, creating tests for frontend and backend, maintaining applications, and using Jira for task tracking. Sara also participated in creating an internal app for recruiters to support job interview planning.

Prior to Kainos, Sara worked as a .NET Software Development Intern at PGS Software S.A. from July 2015 to September 2015. In this role, they contributed to a trainee project involving the development of a web app for collecting election votes and calculating election results using ASP .NET MVC, jQuery, and MS SQL database.

Sara Cygańska completed their undergraduate degree in Informatyka at Gdańsk University of Technology from 2013 to 2017, earning the degree of Inżynier (Inż.). Sara further pursued their education at the same institution from 2017 to 2018 and obtained a Magister's degree (Mgr) in Informatyka.
