Aaron Lichtner is a highly experienced Principal Data Scientist with a focus on inventory and waste forecasting of perishable goods, currently at Crisp since March 2025. Prior to this role, Aaron served as Principal Data Scientist and Senior Data Scientist at Shelf Engine, and held various positions at Nordstrom, including Senior Data Scientist and Data Scientist II, from October 2016 to March 2021. Aaron's foundational experience includes a Data Science Fellowship at Galvanize, where advanced knowledge in machine learning and data analysis was developed. Additionally, Aaron has a background in materials science, with a PhD and Master's degree from the University of Washington, and early work as a Chief Design Officer at JumpStartCSR, focusing on innovative 3D-printed wearables. Aaron has also contributed to academic research at both the University of Washington and SIMAP, publishing multiple papers and collaborating on advanced materials studies.
