Brian Powell

Brian Powell has extensive experience in the horse racing industry, with a career spanning over five decades. Beginning as a rider and progressing to Head Lad and Assistant Trainer at Tony and Michael Dickinson Racing from June 1971 to August 1988, Powell contributed to numerous notable achievements during a peak period in Jump racing. Subsequently, Powell served as Assistant Trainer at John Gosden Racing from September 1988 to June 1995, managing staff and horses at Moulton Paddocks in Newmarket. Since July 1995, Powell has held the position of Assistant Trainer at Godolphin Racing, where responsibilities include overseeing the daily operations of a racing yard and training horses. Under Powell's tenure alongside Saeed bin Suroor, the team has celebrated significant success, including 69 Group 1 or Grade 1 winners across North America, Europe, Hong Kong, and Australia.
