Lichen Xiang is a proficient biomedical engineer with extensive experience in research and education. Currently serving as a Research Fellow at The National Institutes of Health and a Research Scientist at GODX INC, Lichen specializes in diagnostic device development. As a Doctoral Research Assistant at Texas State University since June 2011, Lichen has focused on the development of new bio-sensors and bio-separation assays while managing lab inventory. Additionally, Lichen has served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, educating diverse groups of students in General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. Lichen holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science, Engineering, and Commercialization from Texas State University and a Master’s Degree in Chemistry from the same institution, complemented by a Bachelor's Degree in Food Science and Technology from Shanghai Ocean University.
