Gary Porter

Gary Porter is the current Chief Analytics & Development Officer at GoFor. Prior to this, they were a Senior Principal Consultant at P&C Global from March 2019 to July 2021. There, they were a strategy, analytics, and transformation leader who designed and executed a diverse portfolio of programs to propel dramatic improvements in client results. Initiatives spanned the gamut ranging from business mix optimization, growth strategy, advanced analytics, technology implementation, process reengineering, and organizational agility.

Before that, Gary was with Waste Management for 13 years, from September 2001 to September 2014. There, they were a transformation executive at the leading North American environmental services provider with $14B in revenues and more than 42K employees. Gary partnered with the field general manager to build the corporate Business Solutions Department of 166 employees charged with implementing enterprise-wide business transformation. During their time there, they reconfigured the Analytics & Reporting team away from standardized reporting toward innovative analytics including regression-based modeling of maintenance cost drivers and route efficiency targets. Gary also launched a $100M+ reengineering of order-to-cash processes including Siebel ERP implementation; deployed Service Delivery Optimization initiative with 30 coaches to install Lean operations processes across 450+ sites targeting $165M in annual cost reductions; led a team of 12 coaches to install an innovative waste diversion program across 130+ transfer stations and landfills, extracting recyclable materials from municipal solid waste stream and driving $10M in annual EBIT impact; and partnered with Procurement, IT, and Finance teams to redesign procure-to-pay processes and implement PeopleSoft solution.

Gary Porter has a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School, a Master of Business Administration from MIT Sloan School of Management, and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Gary is certified from the Massachusetts Bar Association as a member.
