Taresh Ramesan is an accomplished aviation professional with extensive experience in maritime reconnaissance and commercial aviation. From June 2010 to June 2018, Taresh served as Deputy Commandant in the Indian Coast Guard, logging over 2800 hours flying Dornier-228 aircraft for various operations. Following this, Taresh worked at GO FIRST as a Captain and later as Senior Captain of the Airbus A320 from July 2018 to December 2020. Currently, Taresh holds the position of Senior Captain at IndiGo, commanding Airbus A320/321 aircraft since December 2022. Taresh's educational background includes a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, a Commercial Pilot License from the International Aviation Academy of New Zealand, and ongoing studies in Mandarin at Namaste Mandarin, along with completing a Naval Orientation Course at the Indian Naval Academy.
