Allison McDonald Ace has been in the publishing industry since 2007. Allison began their career as an Editorial Assistant at Pearson, where they coordinated the review of proposals, draft manuscripts, and educational materials. Allison then worked as a Production Editor at James Lorimer & Company Ltd. from 2008 to 2009, followed by a role as a Developmental Editor at Oxford University Press from 2009 to 2010. In 2010, they began their freelance career as a Writer, Editor & Writing Workshop Facilitator. In this role, they authored and co-edited Through, Not Around: Stories of Infertility and Pregnancy Loss (Dundurn 2019), wrote for lifestyle, health and parenting publications, and facilitated their signature workshop method, Healing Through Writing.
