Peter Aghar, CPA, CMA

Peter Aghar, CPA, CMA has over 30 years of work experience in the real estate and finance industry. Peter began their career in 1990 as Managing Director of Institutional Accounts at GE Capital. In 2002, they became the Founding Partner, President and Chief Investment Officer of KingSett Capital, where they raised over $1.5 billion for private equity real estate investments. From 2011 to 2015, they were an Investor, Partner and Advisor at NorthWest International Healthcare Properties REIT. In 2015, they joined the Board of Trustees at PRO REIT and the Board of Directors at Temple Hotels (TSX:TPH). In 2017, they became a Board Trustee and Chair of Investment Committee at Granite REIT (TSX: GRT.UN; NYSE: GRP.4). In 2018, they became a Partner, Investor and Investment Committee Member at Forgestone Mortgage Fund LP and a Board Member, Lead Shareholder at GoJava. Peter is currently a Principal at Crux Capital Corporation.

Peter Aghar obtained an Honours Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo in 1990, with a focus in Management Accounting and Business Administration. Peter also holds the CPA, CMA certification from Chartered Professional Accountants Ontario.
