Matt Perris

Matt Perris is a highly experienced geologist with a strong background in the mining sector, currently serving as a Senior Mine Geologist at Gold Fields since January 2022, where responsibilities include drillhole data validation and the management of underground drilling programs. Previously, Matt worked at Newmont Corporation as a Project Mine Geologist and Mine Geologist, focusing on drilling schedules and grade control while collaborating with various teams to align drilling with mining plans. Matt's career also includes significant roles at AngloGold Ashanti as a Mine Geologist and Graduate Mine Geologist, emphasizing ore body interpretation and database management, as well as a brief tenure at Silver Lake Resources. Matt holds a Bachelor's Degree in Geology/Earth Science from The University of Western Australia.
