Tom Murdock

Tom Murdock is an experienced mining professional currently serving as Manager of Long Term Planning at Gold Fields since October 2021, with previous roles including Superintendent of Strategic Projects and Senior Mining Engineer. Prior to Gold Fields, Tom Murdock worked at OZ Minerals from July 2017 to September 2021, where key achievements included leading the successful Prominent Hill expansion study and serving as a Competent Person for Ore Reserve updates. Earlier experience includes multiple roles at Newmont Mining Corporation from February 2011 to July 2017, ranging from Mining Engineer to Graduate Mining Engineer, with responsibilities in scheduling, supervision, and production engineering. Tom Murdock holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the Australian Institute of Business and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining Engineering from the University of Adelaide.
