Chris Perkel has a diverse work experience in the film and television industry. Starting in 2011, they worked as an editor at Triple Threat TV and later at Tremolo Productions, where they edited several projects for Academy Award-winner Morgan Neville. Chris also co-created a pilot for the Sundance Channel and segment-produced for various shows. In 2013, Perkel joined AEG as a director and editor, overseeing productions at the Coachella Music and Arts Festivals and helming an in-house television pilot. Chris then moved to Ayzenberg as an editor in 2014, before joining Scott Free in 2015 as a director and editor, working on a critically acclaimed documentary. Perkel served as a producer/director at EPIX in 2016, followed by a role as a creative director at Fox (Film, TV and Sports) from 2017-2018. Most recently, they have joined Hamsterdam Productions as a filmmaker. In 2021, Perkel began working as a creative director at Goldenvoice.
Chris Perkel earned a Bachelor's degree in Film Studies and Psychology from Columbia University. Later, they pursued a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Film/Cinema/Video Studies from the University of Southern California (USC). Chris also obtained a second Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Film Production from USC.
