Scott Yates

Scott Yates is a staff civil engineer at Golder Associates with over 28 years of experience in construction quality assurance management and engineering for solid waste and mining projects worldwide. Since joining Golder Associates in 1995, Scott has overseen compliance with contractual requirements and has managed quality assurance testing for extensive liner systems, totaling over 100 million square feet of geosynthetic and 7 million cubic yards of clay materials. Prior to this role, Scott served as an aviation mechanic in the United States Navy from 1980 to 1989. Scott holds an Associate of Science in Engineering from Tidewater Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Old Dominion University. Fluent in Spanish, Scott has worked in countries including Australia, Ireland, China, Peru, and Mexico.
