James Hirsch has a diverse work experience that spans over two decades. James co-founded Golightly in 2020 and served as the Co-Founder and COO. Prior to that, from 2008 to 2020, they were the Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer at GOOD CORPORATE CITIZEN, where they oversaw various aspects of the business including business development, account management, creative and strategy. James also founded an after-school documentary filmmaking workshop for underprivileged Bronx high school students during their time there.
From 2013 to 2014, James worked at SnagFilms / Indiewire as the VP of Marketing & Business Development, where they created content and executed branding, PR, and launch of a new short-form comedy platform. James also served as the Director of Marketing / Digital Accounts at New Video / Cinedigm from 2010 to 2012, overseeing product management, marketing, creative, and business strategy for packaged media across multiple platforms.
Prior to that, James worked at HBO as a Creative Director from 2004 to 2008, and at BBC Worldwide Americas as a Project Manager from 2002 to 2004. James also has experience working internationally, serving as a Business Coordinator/Volunteer Teacher at Centro del Muchacho Trabajador in Quito, Ecuador from 1999 to 2001.
James began their career as a Consultant in the Real Estate Advisory Services Group at Arthur Andersen, LLP from 1997 to 1999. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated a strong background in creative leadership, digital marketing, branding, and content creation.
James Hirsch attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1993 to 1997, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics. Prior to their university education, James attended Whitefish Bay High School, although the specific dates of attendance and any obtained degree or field of study at that level are not provided.
