Boyd Steere

Boyd Steere is a Senior Director of Bioinformatics in Translational Immunology at Eli Lilly and Company, with a career spanning over two decades in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Since joining Eli Lilly in November 2005, Boyd has led various initiatives involving the identification of novel targets and biomarker profiles for systemic autoimmune diseases, utilizing programming languages such as R, Python, SQL, JMP, and Spotfire. Previous roles at Eli Lilly included Director and Senior Research Scientist, where Boyd focused on immunology bioinformatics and led a team in biomarker studies. Additionally, Boyd served as a Superforecaster at Good Judgment, Inc., and held a position as Senior Scientist and Product Manager at Simulations Plus, Inc., where Boyd developed and released the ADMET Modeler™. Boyd's early career included a research assistant role at Gilead Sciences, where Boyd enhanced manufacturing efficiency through process automation applications. Boyd holds a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from UCLA and a BS in Biochemistry from California State University, Fullerton.
