Muhammad L. started their career as a Story Producer at CTV in 2003 and worked there until 2004. Muhammad then moved to CP24, where they served as an Anchor/Reporter for three years. In 2008, they joined CBC as an Anchor and Correspondent, eventually becoming one of the youngest anchors for CBC's flagship newscast. During their time at CBC, Muhammad also contributed to the Toronto Star as a Contributor. Muhammad left CBC in 2012 and joined ABC News as a Bureau Chief, Correspondent, and Anchor. Muhammad filed more stories than any other ABC foreign correspondent and covered breaking news in hostile environments. In 2015, they joined CNN as an International Correspondent, where they led teams covering major global events and managed content creation for CNN and CNN International. Muhammad served as a Journalist-in-Residence at Camelback Ventures in 2019, building video series from scratch and expanding their audience. Muhammad then joined On Deck in 2020 as an ODF Fellow, where they were accepted into a highly competitive cohort. Currently, Muhammad is the CEO and Founder of Goodable, a rapidly growing news platform with a global audience of over 75 million per month. Muhammad oversees all aspects of the company's strategy and operations, including hiring, partnerships, sales, engineering teams, and content management.

Muhammad L. pursued their education with dedication and commitment, focusing on developing their skills and knowledge in journalism and political science. In 1998, they enrolled at the University of Toronto - University College, where they completed their Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree in Political Science and Philosophy. After four years of rigorous academic work, Muhammad continued their educational journey at Columbia University - Graduate School of Journalism in 2002. Over the course of one year, they successfully obtained their Master of Science degree in Journalism. Throughout their education, Muhammad's passion for journalism and political science has grown, equipping him with valuable expertise in these fields.
