Goodbye Malaria
Goodbye Malaria - a social benefit organisation – is an African-run initiative with the goal of eliminating malaria, a preventable disease that still kills a child every 2 minutes. Founded by concerned African entrepreneurs including Robbie Brozin (Co-Founder of Nando’s), Goodbye Malaria believes our generation can create innovative solutions that ultimately change the way the world sees Africa. The initiative facilitates public-private partnerships, bringing together the private sector, the governments of Mozambique, Eswatini and South Africa as well as The Global Fund whilst supporting and catalysing on-the-ground malaria elimination programmes. Year on year we have seen the programme expand significantly, with 2022 being no exception; our integrated vector management was conducted in a total of 22 districts in 3 provinces in Southern Mozambique, with an additional 8 mobile surveillance units positioned at eastern border regions of South Africa, protecting the lives of over 4 million people. With renewed focus and commitment, we can be the generation to end one of the oldest and deadliest diseases in human history. Malaria has no right to the lives it claims, and together with our partners, friends and supporters, we will work tirelessly to end malaria for good!
