Simon Andrews has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Simon started their career at Nortel Networks as a Software Development Manager, where they managed teams, projects, and delivery schedules. Simon then joined the gaming industry, working at Electronic Arts in various senior roles, including Senior Producer and Senior Development Director. At EA, Simon oversaw the production and development of popular franchises such as FIFA Street and NBA Street. Simon also played a key role in building internal development teams and implementing best practices. Simon later co-founded their own development studio, ACTION Pants Inc., where they recruited over 100 staff and secured an exclusive publishing contract with Ubisoft. Simon also worked at Ubisoft as a Studio Manager. Simon's experience in the gaming industry continued with positions at Arkalis Interactive and Bee Square, where they held the role of Head of Studio. Simon oversaw production and development processes, built teams, and implemented frameworks to improve efficiency and productivity. Simon's most recent role is at Goodgame Studios as the Head of Studio. Here, they are responsible for all aspects of new game development, from ideation to live operations of free-to-play games.
Simon Andrews attended the University of the West of England from 1988 to 1992. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) with Honors in Computing for real-time systems. Their coursework focused on embedded systems engineering, maths, microelectronics, software engineering, and UNIX systems.
In addition to their formal education, Simon obtained a certification called "The Six Morning Habits of High Performers" from LinkedIn in June 2020.
