Libby Roin has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Libby started their professional journey as an Editorial Assistant at McGraw-Hill in 2000. Later, they worked at Barefoot Books, where they served as the Group Marketing & Production Manager, Trade Markets Manager, and Education & Library Markets Manager from 2001 to 2008. During their time at Barefoot Books, Libby successfully led various teams and contributed to the company's growth.

In 2009, Libby Roin became a Summer Fellow at Education Pioneers. Libby then joined Teach for America as the Managing Director of Development for the Bay Area in 2010, where they managed a team and successfully raised over ten million dollars in funding.

Libby's entrepreneurial spirit led their to found Polk Street Press in 2011. As the Founder of Polk Street Press, they developed and launched interactive kids' iOS apps that garnered critical acclaim. Libby built a talented team to create innovative digital experiences for children, utilizing COPPA compliant analytics to enhance user engagement and attract paying customers.

In 2014, Libby Roin joined Goodreads.com, where they held various roles. Libby started as a Mobile Product Manager and then advanced to Senior Product Manager - Mobile and Principal Product Manager. Libby's talent and dedication earned their promotion to Senior Manager, Product, and later, VP of Product. Their efforts ultimately led to their appointment as the Chief Executive Officer in January 2022, assuming the top leadership position at Goodreads.com.

Libby Roin earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Boston College, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. Libby later pursued further education at the MIT Sloan School of Management from 2008 to 2010, completing their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Business.
