Shiv S.

Shiv S. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. They are currently working as a Health Writer at GoodRx and Fox News Media since September 2021. Prior to that, Shiv served as a Clerkship Regional Site Director/Assistant Professor of Infectious Disease, College Master at California Northstate University College of Medicine starting from May 2018. They also worked as a CDC-IDSA COVID-19 Support Physician at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention starting from August 2020. Shiv's experience in the medical field includes serving as a Physician at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs since January 2017 and working at Kaiser Permanente as a Physician from July 2006 to May 2016. They have also worked as a USC Hollywood Health & Society Medical Consultant for Film and Television at the University of Southern California, Medical Consultant for Film and Television at the National Academy of Sciences, and Emmy Regional Judge (television) at Emmy Productions. Additionally, Shiv has served as a Reader at Cinequest Film Festival.

Shiv S. completed their high school education at De La Salle from 1993 to 1997. Shiv then pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Mathematics from Duke University, graduating in 2001. After a gap of several years, Shiv S. returned to education and enrolled in the Academy of Art University, where they completed a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Screenwriting from 2010 to 2018.
