Backend Engineer at Goodwall

Dan Bangayan has a diverse work experience in the field of software development. Dan started their career as a Web Programmer at Rednix Online and then moved on to become a Senior Web Programmer. Later, they joined Chikka Asia, Inc. as a Research and Development Engineer.

In 2010, Dan joined US Auto Parts as a Server-side Developer III, where they migrated some applications from Perl stack to PHP stack and integrated MongoDB for improved performance. Dan also trained and mentored junior developers during this time.

After that, Dan co-founded WeDoMarkup and worked as a Co-founder and Developer from 2008 to 2012.

Dan then joined Moonline Inc. and held various roles including Lead Developer, Development Manager, and Dev Lead Consultant. In these positions, they led development teams, collaborated with stakeholders, conducted interviews and onboarding, and implemented technical solutions. Dan reduced server costs through the implementation of message queues and cache layers.

Dan also worked as a Dev Lead Consultant at TAO, where they worked closely with stakeholders, planned technical specifications, and onboarded new developers to the team.

Prior to their current role at Goodwall, Dan worked as a Web Dev Lead at Hanet. Here, they led the development of a Single-page web app and REST API integration with native mobile apps. Dan used AngularJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, NodeJS, PHP, Phalcon, Python, MySQL, Redis, and Elasticsearch for these projects.

At Goodwall, Dan is currently working as a Backend Engineer. Dan is responsible for building backend services and APIs in a microservice architecture using the Elixir stack. Dan collaborates with frontend and mobile developers to analyze product requirements and find appropriate solutions. Dan has also led the migration of REST API from PHP stack to the Elixir stack.

Dan Bangayan attended Centro Escolar University from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Information System.
