Goodway Advisory works with grant-makers, foundations, charities, and mission-led organisations navigating operational pressure, systems change, and strategic uncertainty in an increasingly AI-enabled world.

We combine fifteen years of frontline charity CEO leadership, systems-based thinking, and lived operational experience to help organisations remain effective, relational, and sustainable under increasing pressure.

Our work is grounded in the design and delivery of the Rebuilding Lives model - an integrated approach to crisis support that demonstrably prevented homelessness at a fraction of the cost of responding after it occurs. The evidence base that model generated makes the economic and human case for investing in preconditions rather than consequences.

We understand the funding landscape from both sides - as a grant-maker working to maintain quality and integrity under increasing demand, and as a frontline charity navigating the consequences of a sector under severe financial pressure.

We are not a technology consultancy. We are not an AI implementation service. We are a strategic advisory practice that helps organisations think clearly about hard problems - and act on what they find.

Current focus areas:
• Operational capacity reviews for grant-making organisations
• AI integration for foundations and funders
• Strategic advisory for charities and social impact organisations
• Systems thinking and organisational resilience
• Speaking, training, and publications

Goodway Advisory is founded and led by Mark Goodway MBE, former CEO of The Matthew Tree Project and author of The 50p Lettuce: Why Efficient Systems Fail Vulnerable People - and How We Can Build More Resilient Communities, forthcoming from Spero Cura Publishing.
