I’m Gary Goodweather. With 30 years of experience leading teams, managing budgets, and navigating complex operations, I’ve delivered results in business, real estate, and our community. I am running for mayor to make DC safe, affordable, and to create a government that runs effectively.

We are developing creative, human-centered solutions that we can execute on. Together, we’ll prioritize public safety, affordable housing, strong schools, reliable city services, and protecting Home Rule.

Our grassroots campaign is powered by the people and supported by the DC Fair Elections Program — putting neighbors first. I look forward to serving every community and building a prosperous DC for all of us.

I am running as a Democratic candidate for mayor because I want to bring a forward-thinking approach to City Hall. DC needs leadership that is open, responsible, and committed to meaningful progress. By working together, we can build a stronger, more effective city for everyone.

With 30 years of experience in financial and operations management, I know what it takes to ensure responsible governance. We need a city that works for everyone, where government is effective, public safety is prioritized, and opportunity is within reach for all residents.

This election is about building a better future for our city. I am proud to have the support of residents from every ward, every background and political spectrum.

Together, we can create a city that thrives.
