Abdullah Akce

Abdullah Akce is a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Google, with a tenure beginning in June 2013, currently focusing on debugging for Search, Assistant, and Bard. Previous roles at Google include enhancing engineering productivity and improving conversational features for Google Assistant, along with contributions to natural language processing and search quality. Prior to Google, Abdullah served as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, working on interactive cyber-physical systems and teaching various computer science courses. Experience also includes an internship at Microsoft, developing features for Windows 7, software development at Mobinex, and a summer internship at CERN, where project work focused on data acquisition systems in a research context. Abdullah holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a BS in Computer Engineering from Boğaziçi University.
