Aidan Lakshman

Aidan Lakshman, PhD, is a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in software engineering and research. Currently a Software Engineer III at Google, Aidan works on Google Colossus, an exabyte-scale file system. Previously, Aidan served as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon Web Services, contributing to the development of Service Workbench and enhancing AWS account management. Aidan's research endeavors include roles at Carnegie Mellon University's Robotics Institute, the CERT Division at the Software Engineering Institute, the University of Pittsburgh's Department of Biomedical Informatics, and the Evolutionary Computation Lab at the University of Central Florida. Aidan holds a PhD in Bioinformatics from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Central Florida, with additional studies in Japanese Language and Literature at Nagasaki University of Foreign Studies.
