Alaa Salama is an experienced sustainability professional with a strong background in environmental engineering and data center management. With a tenure at Toyota Motor Europe from September 2003 to February 2011, Alaa coordinated ISO14001 certification for 26 sites, developed greenhouse gas management strategies, represented the company in international vehicle recycling discussions, and supported sustainable building initiatives. Since April 2011, Alaa has held various roles at Google, including Regional Data Center EHS Manager and Data Center Sustainability Program Manager, leading global sustainability efforts across data centers and collaborating with diverse teams to implement innovative technologies aimed at reducing environmental impact. Alaa also completed a leadership program in Emotional Intelligence at Case Western Reserve University in 2017.
