Alan Polyak

Alan Polyak is a senior data scientist and trust & safety professional currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Operations Research and Information Engineering at Cornell University. They have previously held positions at leading tech companies, including a role as Data Science Lead at Meta and currently as a Senior Data Analyst at Google. Alan's career highlights include developing a machine learning model that improved part classification accuracy at Applied Materials and contributing to conservation efforts by saving endangered African forest elephants through AI at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. They also have experience in teaching technology for social impact at Cornell University and leading data science initiatives at Instacart.
