Alan Tetley

Alan Tetley is an experienced technology leader currently serving as a Director at Google since January 2011, where responsibilities include leading the engineering team responsible for the Search experience on Android. Prior to Google, Alan held various roles at Microsoft UK from February 2002 to January 2011, culminating in the position of Senior Test Lead, managing testing initiatives for multiple Windows Mobile products and collaborating across European markets. Alan's earlier roles at Microsoft included Lead Software Design Engineer in Test and Software Design Engineer in Test, contributing to significant projects such as Windows Mobile and Exchange ActiveSync. Alan began a career in technology with internships at Microsoft and other companies, focusing on software and electrical engineering, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.
