Alex Sztein

Alex Sztein has extensive experience in materials science and engineering, with a focus on high-efficiency GaN-based laser diodes. Key roles include Senior Device Scientist and Laser Chip Program Manager at SLD Laser, as well as Director of Process Engineering at KYOCERA SLD Laser. Previous experience includes Senior Device Scientist at SoraaLaser and Graduate Student Researcher at UC Santa Barbara, where research encompassed MOCVD growth and thermoelectric characterization of III-Nitride materials. Education includes a Ph.D. in Materials Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. Currently, Alex serves as a Quantum Fabrication Hardware Engineer at Google.
