Alex Yang is a skilled software engineer with a strong background in database engineering and distributed systems. At Facebook, from September 2015 to October 2017, Alex contributed to RocksDB and the development of MyRocks. Following this, a position at Two Sigma from January 2018 to August 2021 focused on storage solutions within distributed systems. Currently, since November 2021, Alex is engaged at Google, enhancing the storage engine called Ressi within Spanner, a highly scalable and consistent database platform. Alex holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of California, San Diego, obtained in 2015.
