Ali Taalimi

Ali Taalimi is a Senior Machine Learning Software Engineer at Google since April 2021, specializing in training and fine-tuning multimodal large language models, with notable improvements in open-vocabulary object detection. Prior experience includes a role at Cruise from September 2017 to April 2021 as a Senior Software Engineer in Machine Learning, focusing on model design, deployment, and troubleshooting within robotics.
