Alina Soto has extensive experience in medical entomology and infectious diseases research, complemented by a strong academic background. As a Graduate Researcher at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Alina focused on evaluating the sterility of Anopheles gambiae mosquitoes. A subsequent role as a Research Scientist at Ifakara Health Institute involved coordinating studies on insecticidal interventions for malaria control. In the role of Research Assistant at the University of Warwick, Alina conducted insecticide bio-efficacy testing and evaluated educational interventions against Chagas disease in indigenous communities in Bolivia.
