Allan Knies

Allan Knies is currently the SoC Lead Technologist for ChromeOS at Google, where they oversee technology development for system-on-chip architectures. With extensive experience as an engineer and manager, Allan has previously held significant roles at Intel, including Principal Engineer and Director of the Universal Parallel Computing Research Program. They began their career with internships at Convex Computer and Cray Research and later contributed to innovative software and hardware solutions at Intel and Google, particularly for high-performance computing and complex system simulations. Allan earned a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Purdue University and a BS in Computer Science and Mathematics from Ohio University.
