Amar Subramanya

Amar Subramanya is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in engineering and research roles. Since June 2009, Amar has held various leadership positions at Google, including Vice President of Engineering, Distinguished Engineer for Google Assistant, Principal Engineer, and Staff Research Scientist. Prior to joining Google, Amar contributed as a Visiting Researcher and Intern at Microsoft from June 2005 to May 2006, and served as a Software Engineer at IBM from October 2001 to July 2002. Amar holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of Washington, earned between 2005 and 2009, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Bangalore University, completed in 2001.
