Amber Yust

Amber Yust is a highly experienced technology professional with a strong focus on privacy and security within the engineering domain. Currently serving as a Director at Google since July 2012, Amber leads a cross-functional risk governance organization. Previously, as a Privacy Engineering Manager, Amber established a privacy engineering team that provided specialized guidance on various experimental projects and early-stage products, later overseeing centralized privacy consulting efforts across North America. Amber's extensive experience also includes roles as a Senior Staff Privacy Engineer and a Software Engineer in Site Reliability Engineering at Google, as well as prior experience as a Software Engineer at Yelp.com and a contractor at EA Mythic. Amber holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Harvey Mudd College, where foundational skills were developed alongside early professional experience in helpdesk and user support.
