Anand Raja

Anand Raja is a Staff GPU Performance Engineer at Google, where they focus on enhancing GPU performance for a safety-critical computing platform. Previously, Anand held various roles at Cruise, leading teams to develop GPU libraries and custom kernels for machine learning applications. With experience as a Graduate Student Researcher at The Pennsylvania State University, Anand researched human action recognition and person tracking using computer vision algorithms. They also contributed to medical imaging applications at GE Global Research and played a key role in product development at The MathWorks for the Automated Driving Toolbox. Anand holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University and a Bachelor's in Electronics and Telecommunications from the University of Mumbai.
