Andrew Garrett is an experienced Software and Site Reliability Engineering lead currently working on data flows in Google Maps. They previously served as the technical lead for a flagship Google for Education product, impacting over 100 million users worldwide. Prior to Google, Andrew was a software engineer at the Wikimedia Foundation, where they authored the MediaWiki notification system, and served as a consultant for Cancer Council Australia's Clinical Guidelines Project. Andrew holds a dual degree in Computer Science and Linguistics from the University of New South Wales and participated in an exchange program at University College Maastricht.
