Andrew Macvean

Head of User Research, Developer Organization

Andrew Macvean is a seasoned researcher and educator with expertise in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), user experience, and artificial intelligence. Experience includes serving as a Visiting Scholar at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where research focused on user experience in authoring Alternate Reality Games (ARGs), and as a Lecturer at the Lothian Equal Access Programme for Schools, coordinating computer science curriculum. Andrew has held key roles at Google, including Head of User Research for the Developer Organization and User Experience Research Intern for the Google Cloud Platform. Previous positions include Software Test Engineer at Crocodile Clips Ltd and contributing to the EPSRC-funded Making Games in Schools project.
