Andrew Watson is a Conversation Designer on Shopping Labs who leads a team of UXers focused on scalability, multimodal interactions, and design systems. They are currently collaborating with engineering infrastructure partners to build the conversational platform of the future. Previously, Andrew served as a VUI Designer at Google from 2017 to 2019, where they designed conversations and multi-modal experiences for the Google Assistant. Prior to that, they worked at Nuance Communications from 2008 to 2014, holding positions as a Senior User Interface Designer and Principal User Interface Designer, creating design patterns and specifications for natural language interfaces on mobile devices.
