Andy McBride

Andy McBride has extensive experience in semiconductor verification and engineering, having held key positions at prominent companies. At Samsung Semiconductor, from October 2011 to January 2020, Andy served as Director of Verification. Prior to that, at Advanced Micro Devices from 1989 to October 2011, roles included PMTS - Silicon Validation Architect, Director of Verification, and Design and Verification Engineer, with a focus on x86 verification and silicon validation techniques. Earlier experience includes a role as Design Engineer at Texas Instruments from July 1984 to May 1989, specializing in ASIC chip design. Since February 2022, Andy has been the Verification Lead for the Next Generation CPU at Google, and has also served as Senior Director of Verification at SiFive since January 2020. Andy holds an MBA from St. Edward's University and a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University at Buffalo.
