Antonio Messina

Antonio Messina possesses extensive experience in system administration, cloud architecture, and software engineering. Beginning as a System Administrator at the University of Pisa from 2000 to 2002, Antonio managed hardware and software for the mathematics department. Subsequently, between 2002 and 2006, experience as a System Engineer at INGV involved managing various IT services. From 2006 to September 2012, Antonio served as a System and Network Administrator at the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics, focusing on system and network administration alongside high-performance computing support. The transition to cloud architecture occurred at the University of Zurich from July 2014 to March 2017, where responsibilities included designing a cloud infrastructure with significant storage and core capabilities. Antonio further advanced skills as a Site Reliability Engineer at Numbrs and Google in 2017 and 2020, respectively, while also contributing as a Software Architect developing various frameworks and systems throughout the career.
