Ariel Shamir is a Professor at Reichmann University (The Interdisciplinary Center) in Herzliya since October 2000 and currently serves as a Visiting Research Scientist at Google since September 2024. Shamir has been a Consultant for MAPPO and Donde Search, and an Advisory Board Member for SIBF VC since 2020. Shamir held the position of Visiting Professor at The University of Tokyo from October 2022 to February 2023 and served as Dean at the Efi Arazi School of Computer Science from October 2017 to October 2021. Previous roles include consulting for companies such as Verisk and Disney Research, and researching at Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories. Shamir earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and completed a Post Doctoral Fellowship at The University of Texas at Austin.
