Avinash Ashokkumar is an experienced software engineer with a strong background in algorithm development and optimization. At Optym, from June 2015 to December 2017, Avinash developed a heuristic algorithm to enhance trucking carrier efficiency and managed SQL server databases, while also supporting team integrations and improving module reliability. As a Senior Software Engineer, Avinash worked on optimizing truck routes for major carriers and developed micro-optimizers, significantly enhancing product capabilities. Currently serving as a Tech Lead at Google Maps Monetization since February 2020, Avinash brings extensive expertise in backend engineering. Additionally, Avinash gained early experience during an internship at Schlumberger, where a regression model developed led to significant cost savings. Avinash holds an education from The University of Texas at Austin, completed between 2012 and 2014.
