Baiyu Chen has extensive experience in the field of medical physics and software engineering. Baiyu began with an internship at the China Institute for Radiation Protection, where the focus was on utilizing Monte Carlo simulation to monitor internal radiation exposure. As a Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic, Baiyu worked under Dr. Cynthia McCollough. Subsequently, at NYU Langone Medical Center, Baiyu served as a Medical Physicist, focusing on denoising CT images with convolutional neural networks and implementing compressed sensing techniques to minimize patient radiation exposure. Currently, Baiyu is a Software Engineer at Google. Baiyu obtained a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics from Tsinghua University, a PhD in Medical Physics from Duke University, and completed an exchange program at National Tsing Hua University. Throughout the academic journey, Baiyu maintained exceptional academic performance with high GPAs.
