Bartek Wydrowski

Bartek Wydrowski is a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Google, where since 2021, work has focused on infrastructure optimization for machine learning, specifically in query scheduling and load balancing. From 2014 to 2021, Bartek served as the tech lead for Websearch load control projects, emphasizing load-balancing, load-isolation, and provisioning. Prior to Google, Bartek was a Principal Software Engineer at FastSoft from 2005 to 2007, playing a crucial role in developing FAST/TCP from a research initiative to a commercial product and implementing core components in the FreeBSD and Linux kernels. Bartek's career began as a researcher at the California Institute of Technology from 2003 to 2005, where research centered on TCP congestion control and the implementation of MaxNet in the Linux kernel. Bartek holds a PhD in Engineering from the University of Melbourne, attained between 2001 and 2004.
