Ben Cheng has extensive experience in engineering and software development, beginning with a summer internship at Intel in 1997. Subsequently, Ben worked as a Member of Technical Staff at Sun Microsystems and held the position of Principal Engineer at Transmeta Corporation from July 2000 to November 2005. After a tenure as a Senior Software Engineer at Azul Systems and PeakStream Inc. from 2005 to 2007, Ben joined Google in June 2007 as an Engineering Manager. Ben holds an MS/PhD from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, completed between 1994 and 2000, and a Bachelor's degree from National Taiwan University, obtained from 1988 to 1992.
