Ben Plimmer

Ben Plimmer possesses a strong background in engineering and project management, with significant experience in the telecommunications sector. At Rolls-Royce, Ben served as a Year In Industry Student focusing on engineering operations related to structures and transmissions. Subsequently, at Meta, Ben excelled as a Fiber Program Manager, leading critical aspects of the 2Africa Project and contributing to marine activities and land route developments. Prior roles include a Technical (Fiber) Program Manager Internship at Facebook and a summer internship at Nuclear AMRC. Recently, Ben took on the position of Senior Engineer for submarine delivery at Vodafone, overseeing the management of modular landing stations and station relocations. Currently, Ben is employed as a Technical Program Manager for subsea builds at Google. Educationally, Ben holds a Master's degree in Automatic Control and Systems Engineering from The University of Sheffield, complemented by A Levels in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry from King Edward VI School in Stratford-upon-Avon.
