Benjamin Koehne is a Sr. Staff UX Research Manager at Google, leading a team of UX researchers focused on Google Workspace collaboration tools. They joined Google in 2014 and have previously worked as a User Experience Research Intern and HCI Research Intern at Microsoft Research Asia. Benjamin earned their PhD in Information and Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine, where their research intersected distributed work and human-computer interaction. They also hold a Master’s degree from Stuttgart Media University, where they developed a collaborative sketching system. Prior to their academic career, Benjamin worked as a Technical Consultant at RIB Software UK Ltd.
