Bernard Uwineza

Bernard Uwineza has a robust background in electrical and computer engineering with a focus on applied mathematics, having earned a Bachelor of Science from California Baptist University and a Master of Science from the University of California, Riverside. As a research assistant at the Video Computing Group at UCR, Bernard designed and developed computer vision algorithms. Experience includes a graduate researcher role in the Controls and Robotics Lab at UCR and serving as a postdoctoral researcher on the EcoCAR Mobility Challenge, advising autonomy and navigation teams. Additionally, at Google, Bernard worked as a PhD student researcher and software engineer, developing high-precision positioning solutions and improving the efficiency of AI hardware accelerators, while continuing academic research.
